For those who have not been to Rissington before the following may be of interest:
1. The airfield is unused except for ATC gliding every Saturday and Sunday.
2. The runways are in tact and the airfield is about the same size as Middle Wallop.
3. There are very few buildings on the airfield, most have been let out to the private sector to form a business park.
4. The old RAF housing stock has been sold and now forms a new village.
5. The surrounding area is farmland.
6. There is a local convenience shop in the new village.
7. It is in a tourist area famous for its Cotswold stone cottages in villages and towns such as Bourton-on-the Water just down the road from the airfield.
8. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and B&B's in the area.Don't leave it too late to book accomodation (see Para 7. above)
9. Toilets will be provided.
10. It is hoped to have a mobile caterer attend.

*Camping: Arrival from 12.00 Sunday 27th, departure by 08.00 (this time may be extended!!)Thursday 31st. Toilets and waste disposal facilities will be provided and a water supply connected. However this water supply is not suitable for drinking (unless boiled) , therefore you are recommended to bring bottled water for cold drinks.
